Affiliate FAQs

All you really need to become an affiliate marketer is a computer, an Internet connection, and both the desire and motivation to truly succeed and accomplish the feat of making money from home. There’s certainly a lot of various things to learn and a vast multitude of different ways to actually accomplish making money online, so you’d do well to try and learn as much as you possibly can in order to give yourself the best possible shot at success.

In addition to asking your Affiliate Manager for help with anything that you need (should you become accepted as an affiliate with us). It’s a great resource for learning the ropes and getting ready to test the online marketing waters yourself.

Although we’d like to accept affiliates from all over the world, we currently don’t accept any affiliates living in certain locations that we consider high risk. It’s certainly nothing personal or meant as insulting in any way, shape or form, it just has to do more-so with the multitude of underground fraud rings that we’ve repeatedly uncovered and banned from the network over the last few years.

We require you to send or electronically fill out either a W8 or a W9 tax form. If we don’t have a signed tax form for you on file then we simply cannot remit payment until we’ve received it. Additionally, we’ll also need your current mailing address if you wish to receive payment via check or your main banking information if you’d rather be paid via bank wire or ACH.

Default payment terms start out at monthly Net-15, although we do offer weekly Net-4 payments -- albeit on a case-by-case basis. In regards to the various different payment options and their subsequent fees (or lack thereof), we’ve gone ahead and listed them all below for your perusal:

Normal ACH (2-3 business day delivery): Free
Expedited ACH (overnight delivery): $3,000+ revenue it's free otherwise $10.00 fee
Domestic bank wire: $25.00 fee
International bank wire: $40.00 fee
Paper check (both domestic and international): Free

We allow everything from email to contextual, search to display, pay per view (PPV) to incentivized. Ultimately, though, it varies on the offer and you can find out for yourself which type of traffic an offer allows by looking at the offer card within the Envyus tracking system. Please note that if you send traffic from a non-allowed source then this can result in non-payment for any commission that is/was generated from this aforementioned disallowed traffic source. So always double (and even triple) check to make sure your particular traffic method is allowed before pushing traffic to an offer – better safe than sorry!

Ultimately, we only allow other networks to syndicate our offers on a case-by-case basis. When you’re signing up, please indicate specifically that you’re a CPA network and also that you’re hoping to syndicate some of our offers. References with any other top-tier networks you’re currently working with will also help your case as we’ll be able to reach out to them to determine the quality of your traffic. Please don’t hide the fact that you’re a CPA network thinking we won’t find out, because we will.

Your Affiliate Manager is there to help assist you with anything related to Envyus Media, including how our tracking works, in-depth information regarding a specific offer, what specific traffic a given offer allows, historical performance data on a particular offer and which do well with a specific traffic type, etc. etc. Your Affiliate Manager can also help to locate an offer that we may not currently have at Envyus and get it live for you to run with us. Essentially, anything and everything that’s related to providing you with the best possible support here at Envyus Media, your Affiliate Manager is ready (and able) to take care of for you.

To apply for a specific offer, simply click the “Apply” button on the offer card. Next, kindly include a brief description/breakdown of how you’re planning on running traffic to this offer. This will help give our team a better and more complete picture when deciding whether or not to approve you on the offer. Your Affiliate Manager may also have additional questions pertaining to your traffic source as some of the offers on our network here at Envyus Media are more sensitive than others.

As long as it’s one of the more well-known third party tracking systems you use, then yes. Prosper202 is a free self-hosted system that’s been around for an incredibly long time and is both simple to use and extremely efficient. If you’re interested in something a little more robust that’s supported, however, then you should definitely check out CPVLab, which is a paid self-hosted tracking system. Either way you can’t go wrong – it’s all really about how deep and granular you want to be able to go with your campaign tracking.

You can use either image pixels, iframe pixels or postback (server to server) pixel tracking. Some offers will require that you place a secure (HTTPS) pixel for tracking and this will be specifically indicated when you attempt to place the pixel yourself. In order to place a pixel for a specific offer, simply open the offer card, select the “tracking” tab and insert your pixel in the appropriate location. Easy as pie (although certainly not as delicious)!

Generally, we don’t recommend testing an offer yourself because what really ends up happening is you’re sending a false/bogus lead to the advertiser and this is – for obvious reasons – quite frowned upon. If you need your pixel tested then simply provide your Affiliate Manager a test link and our team will test the offer ourselves to ensure everything on the tracking side of things is working appropriately for you.

If you’re using your own tracking system then you might find that our stats don’t match up 100% with your own. This is usually due to the way we report duplicate clicks. Basically, if a click comes into Envyus from an IP address that has already clicked the offer within the last 10 minutes then it will not count as a “unique” click in our tracking system. We only report on unique clicks with our tracking system to ensure that your statistics are not skewed in any way due to duplicate clicks.

Some offers are specific to certain geo-locations so if you reside within the United States and your tracking link is for an offer that only allows UK traffic then our system will detect that your computer is indeed located within the US and will subsequently redirect your click to our “global redirect” option in order to prevent unwanted geo-IP clicks going to the offer.

Absolutely you can create your own custom banners. In fact, many affiliates do this in order to avoid what’s called “banner blindness”. A la, creating your own banners allows for your banners to be unique when they’re displayed on the site where your media placement is located.

If you want to create your own email creatives then the creative must first be approved before you run traffic to the offer using your customized creations. Affiliates found not to be in compliance due to running an unapproved email creative could ultimately result in non-payment for the commissions generated for that affiliates. So simply get any of your custom email creatives approved before using them and there won’t be any problems at all for anyone to worry about.

A suppression list is a list of email addresses or domains that have opted out of receiving emails directly related to the specific offer. You must first download the suppression list every seven days if you’re mailing an offer in order to make sure that you have the most up to date suppression list on any given day.

This is an address that should be included in every email creative. It includes the physical address of the advertiser in the event an email recipient wants to mail them a physical letter stating that they no longer wish to receive any further email communications about the specific offer in question.

Yes, you must use the “From” and “To” lines listed in the offer card. While you can create your own “From” and “To” lines, kindly send them to your Affiliate Manager beforehand in order to receive approval ahead of time (as this is required in this case).

We receive quite a few inquiries on a regular basis, so the more descriptive and in-depth you are in your email, the more information we’ll have about your company and the quicker we’ll be able to make a proper decision regarding whether or not we’ll be able to work with you.

No, we don’t charge any setup or monthly fees in order to be an advertiser with us here at Envyus Media.

This ultimately depends on several different factors; namely where your company is located, what type of offer you’re hoping to run with us, as well as other information such as that included in the credit application we’ll have you fill out.

Of course! We wholeheartedly welcome international advertisers as long as they meet the same requirements we request of domestic advertisers.

We have a wide, wide range of offers running here at Envyus Media and all of them receive at least a moderate amount of attention.

We do, in fact, our sister company is actually a fraud management system for the performance marketing industry. With that being said, we provide free fraud monitoring for all of our advertisers and we are very, very adept at catching malicious, fraudulent activity.

All communication to Envyus Media affiliates has to channel through our staff as we don’t allow advertisers to directly contact our affiliates (for obvious reasons).

It really ultimately depends on the offer, payout, desire/popularity of the offer from our affiliates and how well the offer performs for the targeted demographics.
